William T. “Cowboy Bill” Peyatt, 78, of Zanesville, passed away at 7:02 pm, Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at Genesis Morrison House. He was born January 8, 1934 in Millfield, Ohio the son of the late Worth Ray and Mary Cecilia Hale Peyatt. He was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and member of the Zanesville American Legion Post #29. He was employed as a salesman. He is survived by daughters DeArlene Peyatt and Serena Peyatt both of Zanesville, Tonya Peyatt of Nevada, and Mary (Chester) Turner of New Lexington, Ohio, sisters Jean Cairo and Dorothy Slonaker both of Zanesville, several grandchildren, among them Kaily Grischkowsky, Paul Turner, Keia Summerton, and Keily Grischkowsky, several nieces and nephews among them Jane and Atlanta, several great nieces and nephews and son-in-law Mike Ryan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by sons Billy and C.R. Peyatt, daughter Angel Ryan and his brother Charles Peyatt. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday, June 7, 2012 at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, June 8, 2012, with Pastor Pete Mathewson officiating. Interment will be at Hilltop Cemetery in Millfield, Ohio.
